Hello Svetlana, samme, Donna, and Gunnar, I apologize for not having replied sooner to you, I am experiencing problems with my laptop. Thank you for your informative, and interesting/thoughtful observations, that are always helpful and encouraging to me. As much as I admire Pablo Picasso and enjoy looking at his masterful works, I would never really compare my humble work to his. I used the multi exp function on my Leica D-lux 4 to superimpose 3 x exposures on top of each other standing static in a doorway shooting images from the same position. The first image collage1 (a French word) I shot to set the overall scene/ Theme etc. I shot using Raw and later corrected my work in Lightroom and Photoshop CS4 (but did not use any of the creative Layers options there except layers for non destructive editing. The sepia tone was added as an after thought to show more detail in the image and set a certain mood etc. On a recent visit to the museum of contemporary arts with my fiance here in Tehran I was suprised and impressed by the vast amount of foreign art treasures that we hold. Collected mostly in the last century over decades, including so many collections from Picasso among other masters, perhaps i go back and look at them again. I get a lot of my inspiration photographically from the works of the American master photographer Jerry Uelsmann. He made so many excellent surreal images 30 years ago using superimposition in the darkroom using enlargers (no photoshop) etc. I appreciate your visit. Regards. Dara

a fine urban weave... interesting concept and very pleasing results... the sepia seems perfect for this tapestry as it has yielded good definition/separation

Dara, my best wishes for the season and in the new year, to you and yours
