So much of an image is the composition! It's usually a good idea to try and compose or crop you image using the rule of thirds concept. In this case, the main subject seems to be almost dead center and therefore the eye goes straight toward it leaving some of the very nice elements to the left forgotten. Also, sometimes we as photographers are lucky and get everything right straight out of the camera, but most of the time there will always be editing to enhance the image to the best it can be.

I hope you don't mind, but I took a shot at cropping your image using the rule of thirds and then I adjusted your levels just a bit to really make the water and such "pop".

I hope you like my edited version of your image.

Howard - This is an interesting "industrial landscape" The mid-tone contrast needs a boost to eliminate a slightly washed-out feeling, and the focus is just soft enough to be a bit distracting. If it were my photo, I think I would crop the bottom at the point where the reflection of the tree trunk fades. To my eyes it creates a better balance of elements. I would also clone out the the power lines that are barely visible, or post process to make them a statement in the photo.
