luke_powell 0 Posted April 10, 2003 awesome! Is that his/her real eye color? I know some Huskies (it's a Husky, right??) can have very blue eyes...you've done a great job to make the eye color pop out like it does Link to comment
michael_wagner2 0 Posted April 11, 2003 This is an absolutely superb portrait of (I assume he is yours) your Siberian Husky!!! I actually think this is the best photo in the portfolio by far. Link to comment

kslonaker 0 Posted October 6, 2003 Eye-catching image. Sharp and detailed. The blue eye makes the shot! Excellent work! Link to comment
bjmarkowitz 1 Posted November 3, 2003 Love the picture. The texture of the fur, great. The thing I loved the best, the blue eye. I usually don't like colorized photos (rejected some wedding photographers who showed me to many of them) but I think here is adds something. I really like it. Great Pic. Link to comment
mediumformat 2 Posted November 3, 2003 Excellent closeup portrait. If the blue eyes were not enhanced with extra blue, it's even more stunning. Nice to see pet portrait showing "character" of animal -- this is a very dignified portrait that shows respect. Link to comment
kaphn8d 0 Posted November 3, 2003 The splendid detail of the fur and smooth, gradient tones of the dogs coat help make the aesthetics of this photo top notch, but the color of the eye really makes it snap. This is an exceptional portrait... artistically grounded and technically perfect in my opinion... very well done. Outstanding. Link to comment
barmijo 0 Posted November 3, 2003 I like the lighting in this image (and throughout most of the portfolio), which is key to the wonderful detail. The subject feels static though, lacking interaction with the environment. Link to comment
jim_wedlake2 0 Posted November 3, 2003 Wonderful picture! The only failing is the title, a noble entity and image like this should have a title fitting it's status. Link to comment
bernhard 0 Posted November 3, 2003 It's a tightly closed in head shot with unsharp mask (carefully) driven to the limit and borderline tacky selective coloring of the eyes. It has impact for sure, because the effects are carefully taken very close to the point whre they almost, but not yet, look cheap and artificial to me, but I'm sure others will see this differently. Lightning is also good. But overall the impact the pic has on me is more that of a short visual thrill on the surface (eye candy) than something that lasts and goes deeper. If had made the pic, I wouldn't kick it out of my portfolio, but I'd drop the blue eyes. Link to comment
