It imparts a strong feeling of autumn and is very nicely done.  Knowing that you were striving for a painterly effect helps me to appreciate your photo (rather than guessing why the processing was applied); this forum has strongly processed and relatively unprocessed photos side by side.  I'm uncomfortable trying to guess what the photographer's intentions were, and here I don't have to.
