After seeing this I wonder how long an exposure it takes to completely smooth water as I've seen in some images.

I really like the hues in this image. The warmth in the upper third and the coolness and light sheen in the lower two-thirds are neat counterpoints. I might be tempted to whittle a bit off the lower part but that would only tighten it up a bit and not really improve the overall dynamic of the contrast in light and color. This looks like a full-frame image, Jim. Nice work.

I agree completely with Fred. The warm tints in the upper part contrast nicely with the colder blue tints in the water. The building form a visual nice transition between the two.

I was wondering what happened to you, Jim. I thought those Alabama Stump Lizards might have gotten you. I guess by this picture I was wrong. You have obviously been out working to find some good shots. This is an excellent shot. I definitely like the warmer colors in the sky and the darker blues off the water. The reflections on the water are very nice too. Great shot. Glad you are back.

The two gradients, in the sky and in the water, provide an interesting contrast. The horizontal lights on the shore neatly divide the picture.

The irregular pattern of the reflected lights is a little disconcerting, but not enough to be seriously disturbing.

Fred, it is full frame. If I were doing it again, I'd probably aim down a bit more to let the shore run out the corner. Actually, there is a bit more on the neg.

Lisa, we've had some flooding so I haven't seen those stump lizards lately. I hope the buggers go extinct!

I found myself trying to focus on all of these highlights. Never really found anything to focus in on of interest. Nice colors though.
