glynsumner 0 Posted October 29, 2010 This is the inner courtyard of Skipton Castle, hard to get good lighting due to the close proximity of buildings. Please view large, comments/advice appreciated Link to comment
simon_hickie1 0 Posted October 31, 2010 I think the lighting is fine - no harsh shadows and the colours in the stonework come through really well. You've got a hint of clockwise rotation here and I think I might crop off some of the wall on the left (probably about a third). Can't decide about the figure in the doorway - it would clone out easily though. I also wonder if a viewpoint slightly to the left would have revealed an interesting tree! Otherwise, textures and tones come across very well. Link to comment
glynsumner 0 Posted November 12, 2010 Thanks for your input - yes the tree was interesting, an extremely old yew tree but in a rather dark corner of the courtyard, now I wish I had tried for a pic :) Link to comment
