Looks like KuKlux if you ask me, but hopefully there is not that, intresting that people want to have masks anyway and then iif they don´t have the KluKlux mind it´s strange that they mask their self.

Hmm, maked me think anyway, its not always north americans that do this then...

Stefan, thanks very much for your comments. In both Spain and South America these "Klu Klux Klan" type of outfits are quite old and traditional. They are used primarily in conjunction with Christian ritual processions. I understand the hood was worn as a symbol of humility and anonymity. In this picture, heavy crosses are being carried as a sort of penance. By not showing your face you are doing this for the "Glory of God" and not for the personal recognition of others.
