nomade 1 Posted April 10, 2003 ... shooting, the light was not the best one (midday, many people around, flat light, etc.), this is one of the less worst of a great site. Prior to go there I saw some shots of the place to get some ideas of the place and how to shoot it, and none of them were surprisingly original, only the "typical" dusk or dawn shots... For my luck, at the end of our visit, the sky get cloudy and here's the result. Link to comment
minh_thai 0 Posted April 10, 2003 Strong composition. Would be better if the grass is not burned and more details of the pyramid looking structure are retained. Link to comment
Link to comment

henrimanguy 0 Posted August 25, 2003 It is a good idea to have place this tree on the foreground. Just a little thing that bother me (scarcely): the three long blades of grass. I would have trampled it without remorse. Otherwise, it is a very good photo, in spite of the conditions you say. Link to comment
paperfenix 0 Posted September 6, 2003 Excelente postal Nestor !!! Atte: Mario Paper Martínez Caballero Link to comment
gabrielma 0 Posted September 28, 2003 This is a very good shot; I have been there, and I know first-hand that it is an absolute pain to try to get a good picture of the Pirámide del Sol. You were actually lucky to have the clouds set in (but I see you tried to dodge the rest, so I think I know why you think it was a bad thing), because in broad daylight the pollution from Mexico City makes for an ugly haze (only time of the year this is not a problem is during Winter). I have only been there once with an SLR, and I hope to take a shot like yours. Tripods are forbidden, so getting a steady shot without high-speed film, and the utter lack of possible places you can shoot without obstacles is limited (that is, if you don't get a photographer's permit and get privileges for clear access).
