Image is a composite, frames courtesy an Olympus E-10 digital at 140mm and f/10 for 1/100 at ISO 80 equivalent as well as a Nikon FE and 55mm Micro-Nikkor at f/11 on ISO 64 Kodachrome. The background is not a digital creation, it is 'cracked' glass photographed in a darkened room (apart from fiberoptic lamps lighting the cracks) with nothing behind it but 50' of darkness.

This is my first attempt in the still life genre, as well as my

first 'tweaked' shot (apart from standard photo tweaks) out of my

usual landscape and nature interests -- the muse apparently came by

and I tried to create the concept I saw. Will appreciate any comments.
