Why so dark?  What does that symbolize?  I like the ruddy red color of Delicious apples as well as their crisp texture and taste.

Jerry and Janegbert, thanks to you both for your critiques. I think it's just a matter of personal preference. I shot this setup in different lights and liked this one better. No symbolism.
