Line of men pulling nets at Kovalam Beach - if lucky, they could end up loads of catches but sometime, just a couple of small fries !

Kovalam is probably one of the most photographed places in South

India. Life in Kovalam is Simple but Easy. People are friendly and

there are plenty of photo opportunities. Fishermen usually laid their

nets in the early evening and then brought the net back to shore in

the early morning then some 20 to 30 people pulled the catches back to

shore. I managed to catch this shot whilst the people and their long

shadows are in a nice balance.

Genious, fantastic composition. Even down to where the sand has been scuffed up more by their feet. if it was like that throughout, the shaddows wouldn't be nearly as effective.
