trisha jean-angela 5 Posted October 15, 2010 Beautiful work! Definitely the king of his domain! I love the light and his expression and pose! Very well done! Thank you for sharing! :) Link to comment
Alex 0 Posted October 16, 2010 Great image. It seems like the dog was really posing for you and you sure took advantage of it. The procesing is also pretty nice. I loke the desaturated look with that greenish cash on the right side.CongratulationsAlex Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 16, 2010 This is painterly and has a classic feel to it. Also somewhat sculptural. It relies a lot on texture, which is a very photographic quality. There's an ease to it which is palpable yet also a deliberateness which seems to provide a foundation for the ease. Modern window frames are ludicrous. This seems to address and simultaneous transcend "dogness." Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted October 17, 2010 Dogs, dogs, dogs - in every shape and breed, panting in cars or stretched out like the lord of the manor posing for his portrait. My imagination leaps at the picture, I don't know why. It's as if the dog were pieced together from two different pictures. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted October 19, 2010 Beautiful (an often used descriptor, but the best word I could think of). That particular blue-green conveys both iciness and warmth. As I sit with it, I love the dog's watchful eye, not at all restful or peaceful, but vigilant. He's guarding, not meditating. Link to comment
LindaM 2 Posted October 21, 2010 This is quite a stage you have set here. Love the color and processing. Link to comment
tonmestrom 4 Posted November 21, 2010 this one has me laughing out loud even as I'm writing this. I think I would have guessed this one one of yours without seeing you name. Great photo Gordon. Link to comment
3m 0 Posted March 13, 2011 " How much is that doggie in the window " stops dead in its tracks, as this is a seriously good photo, and the opposite of that tacky song.A beautiful photo, Gordon. Its simple composition, the subtle hint of colors, the dog's slightly vigilant expression, and the quiet mood your photo conveys. I very much like this one. Link to comment
