ed_seiz1 0 Posted October 13, 2010 I have tried for the last three years to get the same shot. Never had the luck or chance. Great job! I will continue to try. Link to comment
aarthek 0 Posted October 13, 2010 Great capture, though I don't know if I want to know how close to hungry bears you got for this shot. Link to comment
jerrymat 5 Posted October 14, 2010 I'm not sure why you call it "revenge." The poor animal is just eating dinner. I have been told that when the bears are fishing they are not interested in much else so as long as you do not get into their fishing area (which they defend) they pretty much ignore the photographer. I am going to try this just as soon as I get a 5000mm lens. (For the perspective and limited depth of field - of course)This really is a grand image - so detailed that I can see that the bear is shedding in preparation for growing a thick winter coat. Those teeth are very impressive. (Maybe I'll make that a 10,000 mm lens mounted on an army tank)Jerry Link to comment
andregilden 0 Posted October 14, 2010 Great action shot!!! Perfect on the right place. I'm curious where it was taken. Is this the Brooks falls or Mc neill river? Thanks and regards. Link to comment
engela 0 Posted October 14, 2010 Wow, just how close were you to the bear when you took this shot?! Absolutely fantastic! Everything else has allready been said by Jerry, so I'll just give you a 7! Very well done. Regards, Engela Link to comment
romangolubenko 0 Posted October 14, 2010 Dear Jerry, Thank you for your detailed comment )) I have used the word “revenge” just because the hungry bear reminded me the old stories about gangsters somehow. Bears in Alaska look really hungry, especially at the beginning of “Salmon Season” Link to comment
