Eye See You my blue tongue skink

The photo is very nice. I'm really amazed about the details in the eye.

Can you provide more details on how you did it (e.g. lightning, shooting distance, what animal is it)?

BTW, in my opinion the big URL-text distracts too much.

It is the eye of a blue tongue skink about 18" long. This shot was taken with a macro lense from 3"-4" away. It is daylight only about 1pm. If yo look closely you can see the sun and sky reflection as well as my camera and head. I used photoshop to apply a radial blur outside of the eye to add a feeling of depth and motion. Getting the poor lizard to hold still was the hardest part.
