vishwa 0 Posted April 4, 2003 are a couple of things I can see could be better. Firstly, the whole bird should have been in the frame. Secondly, you could have used either a wider aperture to blur out the background a lot more or a really small aperture to get them also in sharp focus. The fact that they are neither here nor there is distracting. Link to comment
Mike Marcotte 50,707 Posted April 4, 2003 That's a great photo of a Redwing in his natural habitat. Lighting is good, they're so black it's usually difficult to get any detail . Fine work! Link to comment
narendra_morum 0 Posted April 4, 2003 Nice work. But I would have liked to focus on the bird and hence avoid the distraction caused by the other objects in the picture. Link to comment
fred_j._lord 0 Posted April 4, 2003 This is a wonderful portrait of a RWBB in full breeding plumage and in its favorite habitat. I like the cattails as they are part of the bird's living space. Link to comment
marrio 0 Posted April 5, 2003 I couldn't disagree more with the first critique. This is a very nice image. You're showing the animal 'standing tall' in allignment with other features in its environment. Good detail in the bird's feathers and distinguished colour contrasts. Link to comment
terry_butler1 0 Posted April 6, 2003 I like the setting for this bird. I think I'dexperiment with different colors of backgroundsor a verigated background maybe. Just the RIGHT background might really bring this photo alive. Link to comment
greg terepka 0 Posted April 30, 2003 Amazing, I shot this exact image this past weekend in the Cuyahoga Valley. Although I'm sure I got the whole bird in the frame, won't know until the slides get processed. I would have pulled the teleconverter off or composed vertically. Otherwise, great detail in the feathers as some of the others posters indicated. Link to comment
1000wordsphotography 0 Posted July 6, 2003 I have tried so hard to get a shot of these lovely birds! This one is very nice. Great detail! Only wish the entire tail feathers had been in view. Link to comment
