Cute kid, great eyes. White balance waaaay off. White shirt is mauve, skin is far too magenta. Adjusted Levels and Curves.

I see your point and agree with most of it but the reason for the magenta skin is the ambient. The real tone would probably be in the middle. Here is my example:
