sonneland 0 Posted October 8, 2010 dror, has been a long time between shoots. is good to see you come back so strongly. really like the contrasting sides of image. behind flower is simply gorgeous, really like the muted colors. by the way what is this flower? than your right side why complimentary to image is totally different. it all comes together in a really nice visual treat of light and colors. the flower itself is really nice, like what i think are leafs starting to open at its base. you have done well my friend!roger Link to comment

lizweisiger 0 Posted October 8, 2010 Dror, I like this image because it is different and interesting. I love the contrast between the vibrant tones of the flower and the muted, mysterious background. Wonderfully composed. Link to comment

drorbaldinger 0 Posted October 8, 2010 thanks everyone, comments are much appreciated. roger, i have no idea what kind of a flower is it, but i was taken by the "doo". i think a buzz cut is in order. Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted October 9, 2010 Very Beautifully captured and processed. Your DOF is excellent and the 'subject flower' matches your title perfectly. I really like your presentation also....well done. Looking forward to taking a peek at your other work. Sincerely, Gail (PS I do remember you now, have critiqued other work, really loved a blue iris you did in 2009) Link to comment
ifti 1 Posted October 9, 2010 It a dramatic composition, Colorful, off center and very shallow DOF. BG is enhancing. Regards, ifti. Link to comment

Christal1664882414 0 Posted October 10, 2010 Another beauty! Some may have been tempted to crop in on the 'doo', but I like the way you've included the context.....makes for a really artistic shot. Link to comment
stanislav 0 Posted October 11, 2010 A tale of reality and the world of spirits... I simply love the contrast between the 'solid' flower and the ghostly right part. Warm regards, Stanislav Link to comment
drorbaldinger 0 Posted October 11, 2010 stanislav, this is indeed a re-occurring theme. i always like to introduce another layer. a dialogue with a memory, or a vision, whichever way one what to interpret the "ghost". good to hear from you. did not check if bochum stayed in the bundesliga. hope all is well.dror. stanislav 0 Posted October 12, 2010 Dror, I too enjoy playing around with 'spirits'. How about a more metaphysical interpretation? An echo of Plato's world of forms? A glimpse of something beyond the physical world? But memory also is a very interesting concept. Bochum wasn't able to stay in the Bundesliga, and not doing too well in the second liga now. Luckily I'm not a fan... Anyway, good to have you back! Warm regards, Stanislav Link to comment
mario2 0 Posted October 13, 2010 Nice to see you again in this place Dror...I think, that one of the secrets in your image is the huge differencies between image's areas, maybe the point is the ghost silhouette.I like this duality.Best regards Link to comment
