I found sending the light from straight above - using a gridded softbox - far

more interesting than I expected.

Beautiful lighting and composition. One of those photos that appear simple yet sooo effective. Bravo!

The lighting and composition are intriguing and the facial expression makes the image.

The lighting, model and contrast of the image is truly superbe. But what really engages me is the cropping.  The simple act of placing the pose in the lower right hand corner gives the impression that the model sits in a tall but narrow space. The model is truly beautiful and her expression and serene.  Finally, I seem to focus on her eyes and then I get taken up with her gaze into the black space, around and down to her knee.  Great work.

Indeed the light from the top really works here. The sculpture of the body is nicely accentuated, and the model's gaze is perfect for this pose. Nicely done.

A classic nude indeed and I love the placement of the figure in the frame.
