jerrymat 5 Posted October 6, 2010 I seldom see a composition so neatly structured as to capure and recapture my wandering eye. I look down the long expanse of the warf, which captures my vision because it encompasses most of the bottom space. It leads me toward the back, toward the light but steers me through an abrupt right angle to arrive and stop at the red building which is oriented toward the distant light, the fisherman supplimenting the action, then I explore onward toward the brightest bay and the sunlight behind the clouds. There I rest and mentally back off and encompass the whole, my vision quickly collapsing to the base of the picture where the expanse of the warf, again starts me on that repeated trip.Very well done. I want to include this in my list of favorites that I might enjoy the trip again.Jerry Link to comment

kani 0 Posted October 7, 2010 Thank you everybody for your feedback... Although I like the composition and the light here, I think the cloud formation is not very satisfying. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 7, 2010 This is a truly great photo. The walkway provides a great leading line right to the fisherman. The scene is relatively monochromatic, so the orange shed provides a great contrast in color. The blues, orange and browns harmonize beautifully in this image. Link to comment
gsaphoto 2 Posted October 7, 2010 Well done with angular composition, colors, reflection. Nothing more to add. You did not left any places for critique for this particular work. Thanks for sharing! :-) Link to comment

anne_s3 0 Posted October 9, 2010 This is quite amazing. The perfection of the stillness that you have captured visually; the perfect composition and light; great textures. The figure / this man in just a moment alone - hoping to catch something- congrats! Link to comment
AJHingel 127 Posted November 17, 2010 Very good shot Kani, with or without the human element. The wooden structures in an angle of the pier and the hot red colored small cabin is beautiful against the cold blue sea and the golden sunset.I think the best "hope" for anyone around was for the photographer that actually brought it home. Well done. Link to comment
