There are some good elements in this picture..and I see what attracted you to this scene..I would  try to get more contrast out of the image..and more satuation. ..and a feeling of something being absent..perhaps a bike..next to the wall would have brought in more interest..and then crop just past door on right next to pipe keeping that door in picture..and take some off the top which does not add to the image....I realize sometimes you get what you get..in terms of what is present..but then move on til you have something which makes us think about this beyond just the scene..as in a bike might suggest someone is in the apt up the stairs and will be returning down those stairs..
