Indeed the DOF makes this image a real outstanding one.

The sort of details gained here is magnificent along with the original tone of the place, you have lit this image in a superb way and well balanced its composition.

For an internal photography with available light, this one of the best I have seen so far and I did enjoy viewing it.

Thank you for sharing it and wishing you all of the best.

Truly outstanding architectural shot. Everything here is so well done: light, color, composition. Big 7.

this is a terrific image, chris, of a wonderful space.  i do have a question - how did you manage to avoid capturing people ?  early or late time ?  patience ?  either way, this is a wonderful image.  thank you for sharing.

Amazing perspective and excellent processing. This is a beautiful building, but so hard to photograph effectively, and you captured its byzantine character so well.

Marty:

There are people in the very back at a party but you can't see them at this scale.

The building was built in in Washington, DC in 1887 and designed by Montgomery Meigs.  His inspiration was Michelangelo and Roman palaces.  Originally it housed the US Pension Bureau but the large space was always intended to be used for large social and political gatherings.  Its now called the Washington Building Museum
