pnital 36 Posted September 29, 2010 Another photo of a new start for many refugees and work seekers children that live and many were born in Israel. Mesila Org. arranged a happening for the children that are starting the first grade at school. They were getting new bags and accessories needed to start school education. It was a gay event (for older ones as well) with sweets and clowns. A happy afternoon for children and parents. The girl is singing Israeli songs. Thanks for viewing. Link to comment

Donna Stavis 0 Posted October 2, 2010 Pnina, I find it difficult to separate the backstory you provide from the photograph. The light on her face, the giving her voice, the posting of your work -- all good Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted October 2, 2010 Thanks both of you. Jeff, it was a touching moment hearing her singing, her face softly lighted.Donna, it is not separated. The Macro is the story behind, the Micro is her singing holding the microphone;-)) Link to comment
Donna Stavis 0 Posted October 2, 2010 By backstory, I meant what you have informed about the work you do for these children -- when I look at this photograph, I think of that, and it is difficult to look only at the aesthetics. Link to comment
vadima 0 Posted October 3, 2010 Fantastic documentary, Pnina, and indeed as any good documentary inseparable from the story. Warmly, Vadim Link to comment
