I was experimenting with blurring in Photoshop to give the impression of a very short depth of field and consequently make big things look tiny. Here's an example. The barn was about 2km away. You can maybe just about make out the tiny sheep...

well, it definitely works... hard to believe this is a real landscape. Congratulations. Did you play with the colours as well?

You are messing with my mind. I keep teetering between disbelief and amazement. (I'm looking for telltale signs that this is a model train setup even as I write this!)

 

If this was a typical landscape photo I might be turning up my nose at Disney-like color, but the effect for a macro-like "toy" landscape is terrific, especially with the selective DOF (or whatever one calls the post-processing equivalent).
