thadley 15 Posted September 25, 2010 For a high key image, I don't what could be done to improve it. Very well done! In the past I have had a rough ride with portrait images submitted to PN - decided that this is not area of interest to me so i have focused on other genres. I don't agree with the two '3's assigned but that is part of the human experience. Link to comment
johnborg 0 Posted September 25, 2010 Kombizz, Rudd, Kim and Linh thanks for for positive comments and paying a visit!Tony, Thanks once more for caring to comment and making your point about ratings and glad you like it as well. Personally I think that the extreme ends of the points received do not always reflect the true quality of any photos submitted. But in general after receiving a number of votings, the average of the combined ratings will more or less reflect the true standard. This is my opinion. As to the 3s received, I have to respect the viewer's opinion however it would have been much easier for me if a comment was left as to why the photo was considered below standard!! Then I would have learned something........ perhaps! I too am into other forms of photography mostly landscapes and architecture, however I submit portraits to try and improve my level in this subject.Thank you all once again and best regards my friends.John Link to comment
kallol 1 Posted September 27, 2010 Wonderful high key portrait, John...excellent tonality, composition and expression...beautiful look of the model along with smile through her eyes hooked us on the picture...diagonal created withe nose, fall hairline and oblique posture with the shoulder create dynamism in this image...tonal range with dominating white and high end tones with a touch of black in her eyes give the image its desired depth and sombre feeling...very well done...my best Link to comment
