jamie bekkers 0 Posted April 2, 2003 Hi, Love the bird. I prefer bird pictures that capture the entire bird (if possible) rather than cutting off a bit of the tail or another piece. Yours does exactly this. The light at the back however makes the wing disappear into the water. The beak is also a bit blurry. Did you use any digital zoom? Keep up the good work. sambal 0 Posted April 2, 2003 Jamie, no I did not use the digital zoom. Composing the picture was quite hectic as this bird swam along at high speed. So, I used the sport setting and kept the camera following the bird. Under such conditions it's next to impossible to get foreground, subject and background as ideal as possible. Thanks for your comments and critique. Link to comment

woocksie 0 Posted August 11, 2004 I had same problem ... speed of this lovely bird, anyway good job. Next time give it some bread ... you get some time to set camera. I have ''my'' Mandarin Duck in portfolio. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted April 24, 2008 Great work in capturing this duck so clearly. They move fast and one really has to be camera ready. The reflection of the water adds nicely to the overall photo with the duck swimming. Love the colors! Excellent! Thanks so stopping by and your comment on my Reflection photo. Link to comment
