it was a very misty night with full moon and northern lights, i was a

bit late so best part of northern lights was gone. But this was my

first time ever to go hunting those wonderful lights so even though i

was late i´m quite happy what came out. thanks for your comments.

While the overall exposure is pleasing, it's the fact that the shape of the board echos the aurora (and the aurora's reflection) that I like most. As a composition, I think I'd like it a little more if the boat wasn't quite so centered in the frame.

Well done, the lights and boat are of the same shape and color. Did you light paint the bow of the boat or is this effect from the N.Lights? It would be nice if you had moved your camera a bit left or right so as not to center the boat so much. I don't know if the lines would have matched-up so well then and not knowing what is outside the frame if it was even possible to improve on this. This is a really great shot and has interesting detail.

Best regards, Pamela

i didn´t think about that boat so much when i took this. i was just thinking about those northern lights which first looked like to come way bigger, that weak light above. And lights were really fast, disappeared as fast as they came so really didn´t have time to think it through. and unfortunately when my freaking slow camera showed me this it was too late to try it again cause n.lights were gone. but i agree with you guys with that boat loc.

light on the boat is moonlight

but for your comments and i´m really happy that you like this pic.
