Guest Guest Posted September 22, 2010 Michael,You have focused well on the eyes and the skin tone is very good. The background is nicely out of focus and your subject is well separated from it.You have used your camera's flash as your main light. This will give you those tiny pointy looking little catch lights in the middle of the eyes. The ideal position for catch lights is close to the 10 or 2 o'clock position on the irises. To achieve this your main light should be above, in front and to the side of your subject. The camera’s flash will also give you very flat lighting. Judicious use of shadows can make your photograph much more interesting and create a nice illusion of depth within your photograph. You also do not want your subject's shadow on the background. There is hardly ever a good reason to tilt your camera when shooting a portrait. This would be much better with the subject vertical -- to say nothing of the lines in the background. Do not tilt your camera.Nice shot,Mark Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 24, 2010 Beautiful model and I like her green eyes.Wonderful lighting here and very great details and skin tone, although the expression on this pretty face sound serious, still it give a strong personality for this young lady. The back ground been enough blurred to create the necessary separation for the model and it is also of matching colors which add to the fine composition here.Thank you for sharing it and wishing you all of the best.
