Pamela, you most certainly have a special relationship with glads. your composition here is totally unique, i wish i could find the beauty in these gorgeous flowers that you do. on looking at this image it feels a wee bit flat to me, i think it needs a bit of warmth. i bet after seeing this on your computer you wished you had of got a bit more value out of that big fat juicy drop. a drop with lots of potential for a nice reflection. these are the kind of images i search this site for daily, it is just so hard to get a new take on flowers. which is exactly what you have here. well done!

Roger, Thank you for the critique, always a pleasure to hear your thoughts. I struggled with this shoot...a very rainy day with funky light. I love these flowers and have figured out how to force the bulbs so I have them blooming in sequence on my deck  ;) You are right about the drop and while viewing on the computer I do wish I had somehow used this to a different advantage! As for the lighting....it was what it was and this is what I came away with...not a single shot with magic light but some very good compositions and what I felt were worthy...this is one of them.

Warm regards, Pamela

Anne & Runnar, Always happy to hear from you two. I appreciate that you took the time to comment. I like your newest picture posted on your home page...very cute. I hope you are enjoying some nice weather!

This is very beautiful, with the soft even light and the range of pink tones you have created a very peaceful image.  The more you look the more you see as this compelling composition has a lot of depth.

Roger,  Thank you for getting back to me, I knew you would read my answer. I did get some fabulous compositions but not very good lighting...that is the way it goes sometimes. I could do some heavy editing in post and possibly fake/fix this problem but ...not my style so they are what they are.

As always I am happy to hear from you and please know that I value your words...I have learned much from you and a few others here on PN. I will be looking for that next unique shot with you in mind soon!

Warmest regards, Pamela

An admirable shot, here. The tones and composition are very well. You full your frame as well as possible. The other possitive point is the softness of this flower and the details, also.I like the title, too.

Take care and thnx for sharing.
