oymo 0 Posted September 22, 2010 I like the composition/framing, but, as mentioned above, the light is a little hard. The shadows work nice enhancing the wrincles in the face, but I feel that I need to see his eyes if this should work 100%. A reflecting surface on his left or a light fill-in flash might have helped in achieving this.-Øyvind Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted September 22, 2010 Older people are good to shoot portraits of as they have so much character in their face. I would encourage you to keep shooting them. The technical merits of this photograph have been dealt with above. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 22, 2010 This aged man is a great source for a portrait photography, the textures of his face are amazing and a wonderful tool to add to the image which you did nicely capture, his expression is very formal one for his age and do talk a lot about the sort of life he had/having still. The only thing which bothered me are the eyes where they came shaded and so well lit, other wise hey wold had a great and powerful impact to the quality of this work.Thank you for sharing it and wishing you all of the best.
