Brilliant in every aspect. The vertical framing, the whale's body position, the frozen water, the clouds in the background, the cool color tones...even the presence of the tiny small seagulls...all elements together compose a perfect wildife shot of an animal in it's environment. Well done, as a wildlife photographer I'm always thrilled to see images like that. 7 by me...regards from Greece

Io ho fatto il Whale Watching da Anacortes, WA ma purtroppo quel giorno si videro solo qualche orca, magari uno spettacolo del genere!

l'ho fatta nel Sud-Est dell'Alaska ad adolphus point. E' ben frequentato e l'incontro è garantito, lo spettacolo frequente. Spesso le puoi trovare anche che mangiano insieme (peccato non le ho viste). Se ti interessa ci sono anche le coordinate GPS.

Magnificent! How did you time the image??? I have seen migrating whales recently in Australia and I would not even know where to start phographing since they always jumped out in a different spot.

Just fortune, I have a photo (see attached).... I was looking far the zoom at 400 mm, the whales breached 10 meter from the boat.
