mparsons 0 Posted September 19, 2010 Hi,Nice feminine pose and head tilt. I feel it is framed a little too tightly, and so the wrist and elbow are cut off and the head is cut at a weird spot. I have struggled with this in the past too. Either go for head and shoulders or an obvious close-up, or leave more space for a traditional portrait where you are not cutting into joints. I think you did a nice job balancing fill, and people with eyes this dark often need it. I like the look of a natural catchlight because it is large, but I think in this case you made the right decision. It is better to have some sparkle in eyes this dark than to be a slave to natural light and have dead looking eyes. Overall a very fetching expression and good job. Link to comment
wogears 186 Posted September 20, 2010 Not bad--her expression is a little self-conscious, IMO, and the white balance is blue-ish (see the whites of her eyes). Pose and frame is good. Overall the image is quite soft--either mis-focused or needs serious sharpening Link to comment
