I like it, well balanced and interesting composition.

I like it. It's all finely balanced for symetrical shape, horizontal / vertical thirds and tones. Very nicely done.

Very nicely done. Great picture. What I like is the (a)symmetry between the outside borders of the background "holes" (yep... my english fails me on this one). The one on the left is in bright sunshine, the one on the right is in shadow. I think this makes this picture more interesting than it would have been had the background lighting been uniform. Updating this comment: actually the lighting might have been uniform, but you framed it in such a way as to create that difference. Even better!

Michael, I'm not understanding why the ratings aren't higher on this image. I think the tones and composition are great. I love the way you used the lines and patterns to draw the viewer into the scene. Very good work here.

My thanks to those who complemented me on this photo as I thought it was one of my best recently and the initial ratings were as low as 3's and so I was somewhat taken aback. The ratings have improved as time has gone on and for that I am gratefull. cheers

I agree with Marlene, but every one has their own taste & that's one reason we're here. I also like the pattern & the B&W. We have these via ducts all over town. I may try to shoot one.

A while after first commenting on and rating (6/6) this picture I come back and update my aesthetic rating to 7 because I think it deserves more than a 6... Time is a good test.
