Psuedo fall color in Caliornia's 5th season (wildfire season). Certain non

native eucalyptus trees are deciduous in their dry seasons.

Hi Steve, an interesting perspective and very good contrasts of colors and lights. First, I thought this spot must be in Oz / you must have been over there... Did not know that you guys have indigineous gum trees in California... According to Wikipedia "In the 1850s, Eucalyptus trees were introduced to California by Australians during the California Gold Rush." Anyway, thanks a lot for sharing and keep my fingers crossed regarding the wildfires... BR / Volker

Thanks all!

Volker, Thanks, I guess we do in some parts.  It's hard to tell unless you cathch them at the right time.  I don't really photograph non native plants but this time I'll thank the Australians who got this here.  These trees were oringinally intended for paper use but other options turned out to be better.
