John, remarkable out door portrait capture here.

Very great light , great details and of very powerful expression which did draw my attention to the image directly and picked it up because of its technical quality.

The contrast and tone for out door work some times is hard to acheive but you did it all right, the smoke out of is fag is another amazing add to this image and given it more interest and the smoker original atmosphere.

This is a very good portrait...both technically and aesthetically...I really like the B&W tones and textures...so rich...but without question the power of this image is the subject and his action...also his gaze seems to look right inside me...very well done.
