morey_kitzman 0 Posted March 30, 2003 My first visit to Delicate Arch, compare to other version in my Best Images portfolio. My question is, does the individual on the left at the end of Arches shadow add or subtract from the image? Also, notice how the this individual's pose matches the structure just beyond and to the left of the Arch. They seem to have the same pose, head inclined downward. Your comments and ratings are appreciated. Thanks. Link to comment
jack_lo_..._t_o 0 Posted March 30, 2003 There'd be a 7 in there if somebody's gear weren't in the r.h. corner. Link to comment
alexandre_dumas 0 Posted March 30, 2003 I think the person adds a sense of scale to the scene. It is very good to include that person in the scene in my opinion. Nice colors and I like to see the snow in that type of midwest picture. Link to comment
mg 0 Posted March 30, 2003 Great light and colors here. My only regret is this cropped bit of rock on the far left. I'd rather have it cropped off completely as the rest seems wonderful in a square format. Regards. Link to comment
morey_kitzman 0 Posted March 30, 2003 John Come back and give me my 7's!! There is no gear in the right hand corner, that's snow my friend. Marc I re-scanned the image and included all of the rocks on the left that accidentally got cut out. I have the new image displayed. Thanks for your comments. Link to comment
jeff_thomford 0 Posted March 31, 2003 I like the composition and lighting. Colors appear to be super-saturated? Link to comment
dave rogers 0 Posted March 31, 2003 WOW... The snow really shows the DOF and the clarity of the mountains in the background are surreal. Also, LOVE the sky. Link to comment
vincetylor 0 Posted March 31, 2003 I'll give you that 7. Fantastic lighting, and a great capture! Link to comment
berta lozano ofelan 0 Posted March 31, 2003 Are you sure that isn´t a backpack? Awesome picture and great color. Link to comment
michael_wagner2 0 Posted April 1, 2003 Very nice photograph of a fabulous arch. I do not think that the person in the photo distracts at all from the overall quality, and would only be an issue in a contest that disallowed such a feature in this photograph. Link to comment
morey_kitzman 0 Posted April 1, 2003 John Lo Pinto I enlarged the right hand side and searched meticulously for camera gear to no avail. When I took this picture there were only two other photographers up here. One of them is standing on the left and the other is hidden behind the rock near the standing photographer. Wish I knew what you are seeing. Thanks. Link to comment
laure 0 Posted April 13, 2003 This picture is a classic, so I will have to lower the originality a bit. But you captured nice lights and great colours! Link to comment
lostinhigh 0 Posted April 17, 2003 An excellent pic. I like the snow very much. It balances nicely with red sandrock. Link to comment
blair32380 0 Posted May 4, 2003 Beautiful. I love the lighting. I was there a few years ago and the sun never came out. Link to comment
