engela 0 Posted September 14, 2010 Very colourful! This is one of those pic's where you just can't stop looking, and everytime you see something else. Well composed, excellent lighting. Regards, Engela Link to comment

thadley 15 Posted September 15, 2010 Sometimes you can't quite put a finger on why an image strikes a happy chord with a viewer as this has done with me. No slow examination and then deciding on a rate since it was a 'seven' from me at first sight. On closer examination I might have gone 6.8(not possible) because of some loss of highlights on the buildings on the far right. This symphony of blue is 'music to my eyes' and you are to be congratulated. Why my decision to go with a seven and others with a three and fours beats me (and without supporting comments) and it is part of the reason I have not submitted my images for ratings in a long time or have I?When I came to assign this a seven, to my surprise, photo.net came back and told me that you had assigned two on my images within the last 14 days with a seven and I am sorry to say that I was unaware of this since I have been focused on comments. If PN is correct, I am still unaware of which of my images you so generously rated but I express my gratitude.I do plan to submit images in the future for rating but not immediately. I will rate this image a 6 but that was not my intention. Best regards, Link to comment
johnborg 0 Posted September 15, 2010 TonyYour comments and views about this image are truly appreciated. Thank you so much for taking the time. PS The top right structures you mentioned are actually a series of large white tanks. Best of wishes . . . John Link to comment

thadley 15 Posted September 15, 2010 John - you are welcome - and now that I have viewed the largest version, it would appear that there is no loss of highlights. Sometimes when I place a 'large' version I usually put in the title (larger view recommended or Larger view available).I have been keeping mine around the 680 resolution which really does not do justice when viewed here on the internet. Over the 4 years I have been here at PN, friends have alerted me that my images (even with my name plainly visible) have shown up 3 times on 'foreign' sites. Once you place images anywhere on the internet they become 'fair game'.All the very best, Link to comment
anne_s3 0 Posted September 19, 2010 John, this is a wonderful image! I love it. The composition and colors are fantastic. Also something about the angle and the composition and overall lighting gives you the feeling of being in there in the water - and it's a great feeling. Well done! All the best my friend, Anne. johnborg 0 Posted September 19, 2010 Thank you for viewing and for your lovely comments Anne. "Just between you and me" . . . I used a polarising filter to get the saturated colours :)) best wishes . . . John Link to comment
