The gradation of colors in the sky are very nice, and the background trees add quite a lot (mentally take them away and the the photo would be less, IMO).

Stephen, I think the same way as you. I did use the trees on the background to add dimension and depth to the landscape. The lens I did use, is not good to emphasize the depth but, I think it did work here. Thank you everybody for the feedback...
