Beautiful Eyes

Tell me more about my eyes.  Striking colors, details and lighting on this portrait. What lens did you use? These birds don't usually stay in one place.  Thank you for sharing  Gail

I used a lens 70-200 mm F:2.8 IS, Gail. These birds (Cormorant), if you be patient with them, you can take photos close of them. Their colors are beautiful, but the breeding's colors are the top.

Beautiful portrait.  Love the eyes.

Color of the gets the attention and it is very sharp.  The feathers at the head have good detail,and texture. hen the bill and left side of the head/neck are looses sharpness.  I cant explain this why @f7.1 while the head of the bird is same lane.  It appear only a circular are off center to left is in sharp focus while rest is soft. Is their a problem with the lens? Regards, ifti
