ilia 0 Posted March 28, 2003 From a short series I managed to snap this morning in my own garden If you liked this image I would appreciate your comments on the rest of the photos in my Scenics folder. If you are not too much into the nature photos of mine :), you may like my "Portraits of family and friends" better. Link to comment
mqureshi 0 Posted March 28, 2003 Ilia, This is a great shot... i was awed floored when i saw the glimpse of sharp red, striking out, announcing its presence in a sea of purple. Brilliant! Is this the entire shot, or did you crop it from a larger image? Link to comment
james_anton 0 Posted March 28, 2003 The colors are WOW. It's hard to see any form within the red blossom though, and its position seems at odds with, and not complimentary to, the compostion in the rest of the photograph. I just glanced at the rest of your folder (scenics), and I'm much more impressed with the composition in those. I'm going there right now to enjoy them. Link to comment
ilia 0 Posted March 28, 2003 Mohammed, There was a little bit of cropping, but not too much ~10% on the top and the bottom. And the colors are REAL (I mean straight from D60, no P-Shop tricks) Link to comment
msmith13339 0 Posted March 29, 2003 interesting image but I have trouble finding focal point Link to comment
ilia 0 Posted March 30, 2003 Drummond, I did leave focal point out intentionally - just to make this look a little bit more like a seascape. I have to agree, that this cropping leaves eyes to roam around trying to find somthing to lock on, but not finding anything - even though there is highly contrasty petal in the corner...
