neil_lupin 0 Posted March 28, 2003 the person makes this photo - without him I'd have assumed the doorway was about 12 foot high!!! Link to comment
joel_blankett 0 Posted March 31, 2003 Interesting picture, but the composition is IMHO wrong. The big lighted entrance right in the middle of the photo takes the eye away from what I think is the interesting part of the photo - the juxtaposition of the sitting figures and the monumental building. I usually like square compositions - sometimes a bit of a challenge - but in this case it doesn't work. I'd try cropping at least half of the wall to the left of the entrance. I think a vertical framing would improve the impact of the photo. Link to comment
alexpardi 0 Posted March 31, 2003 Hi Joel, thanks for taking the time to comment. I understand and respect your opinion, but I think that the composition as is may work in that the small figure doesn't meet the eye, so that when you find it you're forced to reconsider the whole picture, and understand how big the walls actually are.I'd obviously like to hear other opinions on this issue. Thanks again Link to comment
dave_zelinka 0 Posted April 1, 2003 Love the sense of scale. Also the frem within a frame. Good shot. Link to comment
exploitz 0 Posted April 1, 2003 Very cool use of the portal as a compositional element and the person for scale. Nice work! Link to comment
knut_hoftun_knudsen 0 Posted April 11, 2003 Great b&w work and the composition is just exellent! The background could perhaps be a bit blured... Link to comment
jimmcnitt 0 Posted April 12, 2003 You've done a great job of capturing the immense scale . Link to comment
