richard blount 0 Posted March 28, 2003 You have done a very fine "restoration" the eyes are very good, the tonal range is excellent. Well done. Link to comment
scott bulger 0 Posted March 28, 2003 Excellent job Jim. The composition and the tones seem right on. Another very interesting personality captured on film with great detail as well. Link to comment
jimvanson 0 Posted March 28, 2003 I took this shot around 3 pm on a bright summer day. The dancer's face was brown from the sun to beguin with (he'd been dancing outside all weekend) so to keep some detail in the head dress I had to tone down his face even further. Combine that with a poor scan of the print and I had a shot that was a nightmare to correct. Hope you like it...jim Link to comment
artofheadshots 0 Posted March 28, 2003 Hi Jim, Once again - a great picture. I decided to play with your photo. What do you think? Cheers, Ringo Link to comment
bryan_britts 0 Posted March 29, 2003 Jim, I like the photo submitted. The contast of the eyes captures my attention. In the same vein, I really like the original better! To me it gives that "old world" Native American photo feel. The spirit of the dancer hits me more in the original. Nice job on both though! Link to comment
kathy_holland 0 Posted March 31, 2003 Jim.....its REDSKIN toned down....ISN'T IT? Another great picture from your brill folder!!!! Link to comment
jimmcnitt 0 Posted April 12, 2003 Hello Jim: Another great portrait, only question, when do you ever get a full weekend of sun? I think Ringo is onto something with his version, the sepia gives somehow gives it more of Curtis feel and the lower contrast reveals more detail. Peace! Link to comment
