robert_ades1 0 Posted March 27, 2001 This is one of a series of shots taken at the L.A. County Museum of Art from a bridge overlooking an outdoor area where small concerts are frequently held. I liked the arrangement of the chairs, and was particularly attracted to the fellow who was rearanging them that day. I thought about enlarging the image for display in my home. Would really enjoy some feedback. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 27, 2001 If you like the picture and want to display it, do so. Don't let criticism spoil it for you. As for criticism, when you see a great shot like this with a moving element, go ahead and shoot several frames and pick out the best one later. It could have been better as far as the figure casting the shadow, but it's already interesting and original, and well done. Extra points for using a 50mm. Link to comment
chuck_dowling 0 Posted March 27, 2001 This is the kind of photo I can look at for a long time. Great angles, shadows, viewpoint, etc. Very nice shot. Link to comment
dave_cheney 0 Posted March 30, 2001 I like it a lot, the only thing I find distracting about the image is the out of focus shadows at the top of the frame. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted June 23, 2003 Robert, The best of your posts in my opinion. Backlight saved the day here providing the interesting patterns of the silhouettes and shadows. B&W also a plus as there are no colours to distract the viewer by competing for his/her attention. The person, center right, and also those, upper left add some relief to all the inanimate objects around them. I second the motion to take a series of shots on a subject like this. Sharp eye! Best, LM. Link to comment
