trisha jean-angela 5 Posted April 13, 2011 No...it doesn't bite...guard dog in training I guess! I felt so bad for the little one and I wanted nothing more than to hug him too! He was keeping company with the older dog so at least they had eachother but I wanted to take them both home as they were starving for some attention. Thank you for your visit and comment; I appreciate it very much. Good to hear from you! :) Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 13, 2011 I saw a lot of starved street dogs in Venezuela, it was like they were just part of the scenery, like pigeons might be in NYC. No-one was paying any attention to them, they were just there. I wanted to shelter them. But dogs don't complain, this one also seems to have a nonchalance cool 'bout it. I still want to give it a hug. What also strikes me now, as a tiny tiny detail, is what seems to be one little green plant or weed breaking through the ground at around 10 o' clock of the dog. Some kind of hope against the 'bleak' backdrop : ). Link to comment
trisha jean-angela 5 Posted April 14, 2011 Very good eye! The green weed is exactly what gave me the name "Bleak" and is the reason I kept this photo in color; I actually thought it looked better in BW because I could play with the shadows more, but it lost all the meaning (to me at least) without that very important bit of green hope. I felt very sad for the two 'guard dogs' as it was the middle of a very hot June day and they were left all alone; I am sure someone came to check on them as they had fresh water and food...but still...my heart just breaks when I see these kinds of things...it is no proper life or even existence for animals which are capable of both giving and receiving so much love. :(Thanks again for your visit and comment! Good to hear from you again! :) Link to comment
andrzejp 9 Posted August 2, 2011 That is a very very cute photo. The silhouette has a tiny bit of light which makes is more intriguing. Link to comment
trisha jean-angela 5 Posted August 3, 2011 Thank you so much for your visit and taking the time to share your thoughts with me; I appreciate it very much! This puppy was adorable and very sweet even though it was a "guard dog" in training. I know, it is hard to take a sad photo when the subject is so cute, but I found this one rather sad...Again, thanks for your comment and visit; good to hear from you. :) Link to comment
