erik_a 0 Posted March 27, 2003 Great Photo. I do think that such a monumental image needs a more distinct frame, ie. Doug Burgess http://www.photo.net/shared/community-member?user_id=510681 Link to comment
dave foster 0 Posted March 28, 2003 More...give us more. These Two photos you've posted are among the best I've seen here in weeks!!! I'm astounded by your tones and your timeing isn't too bad either. Great work! df. Link to comment
rick vincent 1 Posted March 28, 2003 Fantastic cloud cover. Looks more like gloomy smoke apearing from behind the mountain. I do feel that the left edge makes the photo seem as though a piece is missing (ripped out). I think it would be helpful to have a little bit of the black edge over there as well. Beautiful moody shot. Link to comment
david_glick 0 Posted March 28, 2003 Thanks a lot. I added 3 more images from my Southwest portfolio. All of these images are uncropped, so the black edge really is the end of the film. I try to get it right in the camera and then leave the whole negative as the print. Link to comment
david_glick 0 Posted March 28, 2003 This image looks great large. The normal size for it is 30" x 45". There is something about it which has real drama. I was very lucky to catch such a great day. Link to comment
mg 0 Posted March 29, 2003 Since I haven't been there, I just wonder what was on the right of this frame. It's a really wonderful image with stunning light and colors, and I like the distortion. But I mis something on the right side somehow. A lirrle stronger USM would give a little more crisp at no cost as well... And all this being said, I still love it... Link to comment
