hopsage 0 Posted August 29, 2010 The way that end-of-the-day sunlight is reflected off the sea level mist has always been one of my favorite optical effects on the PNW coast. You've captured it brilliantly here. Two constructive points. First, I'd like to see a bit more sharpness in the foreground water. It may be there in the original capture, which would make this is a simple matter of unsharp masking. Second is a cropping suggestion. The sky, being featureless, doesn't add anything to the composition, and I find the excess of blue at the top a little bit distracting from the lovely light in the center: perhaps a crop of the picture to a 4:5 aspect ratio, thereby removing the top 15% - 20%?
