Driving around again I found this saw on an abandoned home's garage

door. See larger to see the surprise. I did not see this until I reviewed it on

my computer. Please comment.

Note: Please excuse the cut-and-paste comment.  For the moment I'm using attributed ratings but not offering critiques since some members have stated they would welcome such attributed ratings rather than anonymous ratings, regardless of carefully considered critiques or generic comments such as "Great capture!", "Well seen!" or any use of the word "Congrats!" without regard to elements such as careful planning, effort expended or pure serendipity.  This is merely an experiment and nothing personal.  If you would like a critique please feel free to e-mail me: lexnotlex2 at netscape dot net.  I will make a sincere effort to respond to all such inquiries.  Regards, Lex.

Well seen and well captured. There is a lot going on with the saw that can only be seen larger. The door texture is also excellent and your lighting and balance is good. Regards.

Liz,

First of all, thanks for taking the time to comment on one of my recent critique/rating request photos.

I too love the "old" that will someday no longer be around! So I selected this photo to comment on.

Just curious, how much would it have changed your composition if you had cropped more off the bottom of the image? The details in the wood grain of both the Saw's handle and the background it is mounted against is very appealing, to me at least. The upper painted portion also shows some age, however, most of the siding at the bottom of the image really does not have much detail to enhance the overall composition. The crop may help to size the details of the saw itself. It is best viewed larger, and necessary to better study the painting on the sawblade.

The lighting, detail and framing are very good!

Regards, Jim j.
