There's no excuse for posting something like this.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

I dont find it pleasing, but then again is the photo supposed to be pleasing?  I wont yell at you for posting it - it aint like YOU hit the cat (did you?) - This could be a commentary on the unfortunate effects of civilization...or it may be percieved as simply tasteless - hmmm...for filmakers portraying something that is inherently horrible, I understand that you want to portray something realistically as the viewer will get a true sense of the reality, but for "most viewers" there is a limit - I probably imagine many will find that this went past "the limit" - and I tend to think that the photo is just kinda gross, no offense though :)

Ellery, It is great that you don't like too see this.

Do you rather like to see a soldier that after he shot and rape a woman?

Or see how "war heroes" give their life to insanity?

Get a life and and do you think I like to see this?

Knowing that this cat was hit by a car.

Knowing that people eats cats to stay alive or that it is for them normal as we kill cows and eat sick fastfood.

This is life as it is, nothing more, nothing less!

Ed, thank you for your comment.

I am jaded.  I have seen human entrails hanging in tree limbs.  There is nothing that smells like a ruptured human corps or burning human flesh.  When I see photos of this I often think 'sucks to be them' and I move on.  After all, nobody is innocent.

But this photo, of someone's pet, obviously just killed as the bright blood indicates, strikes me.  I have pet cats.  Over the years I have lost pets.  I've had to put down my own pets too.  None of it is easy.  For many of us our pets are like perpetual children in that our pets never mature like human children - the pets remain at a mental level near the same as human toddlers.  In our minds this puts pets into the same category as our children. In that regard - as a human child - having just been struck and killed by a car, the composition of this photo is only justified by an investigator of the incident in my opinion.

But this in not a child, the cat is probably a pet.  We see a cat but think of our pets and by extension think of our children.  We react to this photo as if it were one of our human children laying dead beside the road.  This is a very powerful photo.  If it were a human child I would not comment.  But the photo is of a cat.

I have cats and know from experience any day one may not come home.  I may never see one again or I may find one like this and have to put it to rest in the ground.  This is a very powerful photo.  Congratulations.  Kudos to you for having the steel to compose and take the photo.  And thanks for sharing.

This is gross and repulsive indeed.

Exactly because it is everyday life unfortunately, there is no need to show this.

It's not something that people are not aware of, almost everybody has seen dead animals along the road.

So why show distasteful pictures like this?

The comment you made about a war hero going insane is a totally different thing... most people don't have war heros going insane around them, so it is good that movie makers make a movie about it.

But this...

I really cannot understand why you post it.
