The angle of shooting makes this picture!  I have heard that for stitching you need to do manual exposure with same values for each frame! The dark center of the sky is maybe due to the disrespect of that rule! I haven't yet done it, but it is also logical, with auto exposure depending on the spectacle and its brightness the exposure will be different for each frame and that's bad for the parts which are and must appear equally bright!

Thanks for the compliments.  The exposures were all identical.  The dark spot in the centre of the sky is somehow caused by the circular polarizer.  I haven't read much about this but I see it everytime I try this type of shot.  It can actually be seen through the viewfinder.

Nice shot, except for the dark area. It is best to shoot panoramas (and single shots using a very wide angle lens) without a polarizer. If you need to decrease luminosity of the sky, a neutral density graduated filter is better. Or bracket each shot if shooting on a tripod and blend the exposures in PS.
