The fountain seems to create the effect of impressionistic brush strokes.  I'm assuming this is as-shot, not a digital effect?  The digital brushstroke effect was a worn out cliche years ago but in this photo it works for me.  The subdued overall color saturation and bold spots of complementary color make it very appealing.  Looks good in a thumbnail view too.  (Testing out the new option for anonymous critiques/comments.)

Thank you so much! I appreciate the comments made so far.. This picture was shot as is, with a zoom lens..It was an early spring day outside, late in the afternoon. This photo wasn't digitally altered.. After I transferred the photo to my computer, I made adjustments on exposure, shadow and color saturation.
