Dunottar Gold
Dunottar castle, Stonehaven, Scotland. The last in the series and arguably the best. Trying to be in three places at once is of course impossible but I confess I did try and this is the last of a series from a stunning summer sunrise over Dunottar castle that saw me huffing and puffing as I ran across the cliff tops trying to milk this wonderful morning for all it was worth. From this viewpoint the rising sun funnels in between cliffs and paints the castle and cliff top with a splash of burnished gold. The sky still had the faint tinges of sunrise in it, blushing pink as though it were glowing with pride at the gorgeous work it had completed. Please view LARGE. Pentax 67II, 55-100 zoom, polariser backed off 50%, 0.45ND grad, f/16 at 2 seconds. Velvia.
